Drama is included formally in the curriculum in Years 3 and 4.

Year 3 & 4 play 'This Man Called Jesus'
Farleigh’s well-equipped theatre, with its tiered seating and professional lighting and staging, is home to three major school productions that are performed each year. The productions of 2006 include The Pirates of Penzance (Year 8), Macbeth (Year 7) and This Man Called Jesus (Years 3 and 4). Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Years 5 and 6) was staged in March 2007 and The Importance of Being Earnest (Year 7) took place in June.  West Side Story was performed by Year 8 in December 2007 and The Canterbury Tales was performed by Year 7 in March 2008. In June 2008 Years 3 and 4 performed The Wizard of Oz. The Year 8 musical in December 2008 was Return to the Forbidden Planet.

Informal weekly form assemblies, in which every child takes part, offer additional acting opportunities. As well as performing on stage, your child can organise set and prop design, undertake costume making and musical accompaniment, and manage sound and lighting.
