Maths at Farleigh is taught in ability groups from Years 4 to 8. In Year 3, the children are also set by ability towards the end of the Autumn Term.

Practical equipment is used whenever possible to reinforce new ideas and your child will be encouraged to think for him or herself with investigative work.
The more able mathematician is stretched with various competitions and challenges, including inter-school competitions. Those who find maths more difficult are placed in smaller teaching groups to enable them to make as much progress as possible.
