The Year 6 children set sail for Brittany today with the desire to practise their French and experience Bretonne culture. There was huge excitement and anticipation for all the treats and adventures in store for them, beginning with a treasure hunt aboard the 'Normandie'.

During their stay on the Côte d'Émeraude, they will visit Dinard, Dinan, Plancoët, Mont St Michel, St Malo and Lisieux, the home town of Farleigh's patron, Saint Theresa. The children are well informed about their destination following considerable work on their 'Bretagne 2008' projects and a social evening with their parents to get them in the mood, the Soirée Bretonne in March.

A truly French send off...
All aboard the Normandie

Are Fergus and Ben a team for 'pétanque'?
"We can't wait to get there."
