| Working with clay |
Art
is outstanding. Our pupils regularly obtain Art Scholarships to the
major senior schools. A light and spacious Art, Design and Technology
Centre was opened in 2004 and the children work in a variety of media -
painting, drawing and modelling as well as developing projects in
ceramics and pottery, silk painting, print making and design.
We
visit galleries and exhibitions to gain a wider understanding of art
history and technique. We also take part in national art competitions,
and much of the children's work is on display around the school.
An
inaugural exhibition of the scholars' art work was held in June 2006.
The children loved having their work exhibited and conducted visitors
around in a proud but humble manner.
