Tudor Day

Dressed to impress, the Year 5 Tudors enjoyed a morning of apprenticeship in a variety of workshops. In the afternoon, an enormous Tudor banquet was held in honour of the Lord and Lady of the Manor (Jack and Joanna). They were entertained by actors, dancers, jugglers and jesters. The servitors worked hard too, providing a delicious meal of bread and cheese, with ginger cake to follow.

Experiencing the every day practices, sounds, smells and food of Tudor life appealed to all their senses and provided a fun and tangible means of reinforcing their learning of the period.
