| Maths whizzes at Wellington |
On a sunny Tuesday afternoon four of Farleigh's intrepid mathematics detectives made their way to Wellington College in Berkshire to take part in a prep schools maths challenge.
The young minds of Year 5 pupils Ben, Charlie, James and Iona were put to work without rest. In pairs, they took part in ten
different mathematical tasks, gaining investigative points as they went
along. Being keen of eye, Ben took note of the competition and Charlie stepped forward to rally his team with words of confidence, "... still, we shall not be afraid!" Iona's quiet deliberations were peppered with James's many Eureka moments.
As the afternoon drew to a close and all investigations were complete, Charlie and James were lucky to find some buried treasure! What a great experience and well done to them all.
