A fun day out on the farm
“Farleigh is very nurturing.” Current parent quoted in The Good Schools Guide 2007

In the Kindergarten your child will progress at his or her own pace and will be happy, gain confidence and learn to co-operate with other children through play.

The Kindergarten benefits from two well resourced classrooms, its own play garden, soft surface play area and custom-built climbing centre. The children are taught in two small classes, typically 12 children in each, by qualified staff

and support assistants, using the best traditional and contemporary methods.

A flexible and thematic approach is used to meet the needs of the Foundation Stage. Songs, stories and activities are linked together to provide a varied and interesting curriculum.

Ballet for girls and dance for boys, as well as music, are taught by

specialist teachers.

Kindergarten entrance is a year before your child starts in the Reception class in the Pre-Prep, though early entry is sometimes possible for the term following their third birthday. The school day runs from 8.45am to 12.00 noon, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to do full days, finishing at 3.25pm, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
