The boarders returned to Farleigh in good cheer and loved playing in the snow for the first week of term.
When the weather was too bad to go out to the pantomime, some of the children put on pantomimes of their own. Divided in to groups, their dramatic challenge was to put on performances of The Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the Three
Bears and Little Red Riding Hood. All the children can be so creative when
they put their minds to it and they love dressing
up.
In the evening, the boarders nestled around the fire and played some silly games
after supper. Lashings of hot chocolate for all is always the favoured finale to a busy day.
So far this term, the boarders have been to the cinema, made pottery candle holders with Mrs Cordery, done arts and crafts in preparation for Spanish Day, and lots of swimming. On Sunday, the senior boarders baked scones before spending
some considerable time doing extra work and
revision. Mock Common Entrance is but three weeks away.
