Common Entrance Celebrations
The 39 Year 8 pupils who took Common Entrance have all gained places to their first choice senior schools. Father Simon Everson, Headmaster, said,
“It is always wonderful to present the children with their grades and to see
their delight at their achievements. Congratulations to them all and to their
teachers who have worked so hard with them to prepare for Common Entrance.”
Eight pupils are going to Downside School, five to Marlborough
College and three to Cheltenham College.
Four girls are going to St Mary's, Ascot, and four to St Mary’s, Shaftesbury;
and two boys are going to Sherborne School. The other 13 pupils are going to
a wide range of senior schools: Ampleforth, Bishop Challoner, Cheltenham
Ladies, Dauntsey’s, Eton, Harrow, King Edward VI (Southampton), Monmouth, Prior
Park, Radley, Rugby, St Edward’s (Oxford), and Warminster.
In addition, eight pupils gained scholarships to their senior schools:
