Every Friday for the past 18 months, a group of junior boarders has cooked supper for the community (boarders and staff), but this was different. Last Friday, five Juniors were selected to help prepare a three course meal for 85 adults, including current and prospective parents. The additional pressure did not phase them and they handled the extra work with aplomb, which was no mean feat.

Twenty Year 8 boarders acted as waiters and waitresses, which they appeared to thoroughly enjoy. Most surprising was that despite a lack of training (a mere two minute briefing), they did a superb job. The children's combined efforts were greatly appreciated by all.

Not to be outdone by the young cooks, some of the senior boarders were invited to prepare supper on Saturday evening. Chopped vegetables, fruit salad and cheese cake, they too did not let the side down.
