Full Boarding Weekend and Spring Fling Charity Disco

The final weekend before the Easter holiday is always eagerly anticipated. Not only is it the annual 'Spring Fling' charity disco, but also a 'full boarding' weekend for all boarders in Years 3 to 8. The Spring Fling, attended by all children in the Prep School (over 300 of them!) was a neon festival in its own right. The glow in the dark theme was taken very seriously, and children were dressed in every possible item of fluorescent clothing, with face paint to match. The candy floss machine was in overdrive and, along with the popcorn, was instrumental in ensuring the children had enough energy for the three hours of dancing that ensued. The 90 or so boarders were up in good time on Sunday, making the most of the activities on offer, which included American football, kite flying, games in the woods and generally having a good time together. An afternoon spent on a bouncy castle in the garden guaranteed an early night with some fabulous memories, not forgetting the £780 raised by the disco.
