Record Breaking Atlantic Rowers

Team 'Row Like A Girl' with former Farleigh pupil, Olivia Bolesworth (2001), Bella Collins, Gee Purdy and Lauren Morton, have just completed The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge ('the world's toughest row'), a remarkable test of endurance, strength and teamwork. The girls crossed the start line in La Gomera in The Canaries on 15th December and rowed 3000 nautical miles to Antigua. In so doing they become the fastest (and youngest) all female team to complete the challenge, beating the previous record by five days. They sailed into English Harbour on Friday 29th January at 1.15pm ahead of 24 other crews - a truly outstanding achievement.

The Row Like A Girl team is raising money for PLAN International's 'Because I am a girl' campaign, whose aim is to uphold the rights of children and young people across the world. So far the girls have raised over £18,000 and if you would like to donate please click here.
