The Feast of St Theresa of Lisieux

On Thursday 2nd October the whole school celebrated the Feast Day of our Patron Saint, St Theresa of Lisieux.  Everyone prepared for this special day by undertaking a 'Novena' over four consecutive days where the children visited the Chapel on three separate occasions to say prayers. Everyone helped to make the multi-coloured paper roses, which were placed around the statue of St Theresa in the front hall to remind us all of the "petals of love" she would send down from heaven.

We were also delighted to welcome Fr Adrian Porter of The Jesuit Institute, who preached at Mass about St Theresa's qualities and inspired us with the words, "if we all did little acts of kindness we could change the world". The Boarders enjoyed their first Dinner Night of the school year and all the pupils embraced the celebrations wholeheartedly, especially as chocolate is given as a treat at biscuit break and Prep is cancelled!
