The Year 1s have been busy in the woods this week.

As part of their topic on Toys, the children were given the challenge to make a toy for the Pre-Prep’s Toy Box. They could use any natural resources they could find in the woods, and they were given string and masking tape to aid their creativity.

The children worked in pairs to produce some amazing toys, including fishing rods, boats, racing cars and stick men. They were really proud of everything they made and enjoyed working together to complete the challenge.

A favourite aspect of this Outdoor Learning session was the opportunity to drink hot chocolate and have a biscuit whilst sitting on a log under the parachute canopy; a great time was had by all.
