Year 4 Trip to Butser Ancient Farm

The rain did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of Year 4 when they visited Butser Ancient Farm, a working museum in the South Downs National Park. Uncovering hidden treasures as archaeologists, constructing wattle and daube fences, a very messy business, and making jewellery out of copper wire, were just some of the activities the children took part in. The Celtic roundhouse provided some respite from the weather and the iron age loo was obviously a great talking point!
