Boarding
Why Board?

Boarding at Farleigh is... "nurtured and thriving." The Good Schools Guide 2007

Boarders forge great friendships...
“Boarding accommodation is warm, homely and comfortable… Pupils are happy, secure and confident, and they show very good levels of respect for each other and for the staff.” ISI Inspection Report 2003

Always having friends around and taking part in clubs and activities together strengthens your child’s friendships. Living together with their peers helps them to develop confidence, camaraderie, maturity and self-reliance in a safe environment.
... and they feel secure and happy

With a hundred boarders and fifty flexi-boarders, boarding at Farleigh remains successful because of the friendly family atmosphere and warm relationship between staff and children.

“Lots of staff around in the evening including the 5 gappies. Third interrogation of children punctuated by incredulous snorts reveals nothing but kindness and, behind that, more kindness. House mothers rated very highly.” The Good Schools Guide 2007

Farleigh provides “a supportive and caring environment for its boarding students. The staff involved in boarding provision work together for the benefit and welfare of the children, and provide an atmosphere where the boarders reported they felt happy and safe.” Commission for Social Care Inspectors (CSCI) 2005
