100% Common Entrance Success
Many congratulations to our
Year 8 pupils, the largest ever year group at Farleigh with 57 pupils taking
Common Entrance, who have all once again gained places to their first choice
senior schools. Father Simon
Everson, Headmaster of Farleigh School, said, “This is a
wonderful achievement for our pupils, and for their teachers and families. We are delighted for each
and every one of them, and they thoroughly deserve their success.”
Eight pupils are going to
Downside, five to Eton, five to Marlborough, and four
each to Ampleforth, St Mary’s, Ascot and St Mary’s,
Shaftesbury, as well as a wide range of other leading senior schools: Bradfield, Canford, Cheltenham, Dauntsey’s, Downe House,
The Godolphin School, Harrow, Heathfield St Mary’s, King Edward
VI School, Milton Abbey, Radley, Rugby, Sherborne,
Sherborne School for Girls, St Swithun’s, Stowe, and Winchester.Congratulations to Jessica
Abel, who is the overall top girl candidate to Rugby; Archie Hamilton,
who has been awarded the Essay Prize by Sherborne; and Matthew Brooks
and Ben Cameron, who are within the upper third of candidates to Eton
and received a star for a particularly strong performance. In addition, 17 pupils gained scholarships: Jessica Abel
