The Wizard of Oz

Ninety-six children followed the Yellow Brick Road to stardom in the Year 3 and 4 production of the classic children's tale, The Wizard of Oz.

Not one, but three Dorothys, six Narrators, two Scarecrows, the Tin Man and the Lion led the audience through the Land of Oz. They acted, sung and danced their way to meet colourful 'croc' clad Munchkins, dancing Poppies, darting Jitterbugs, and laughing Emerald City People, before being attacked by flying
Monkeys to be taken to the Wicked Witch and her marching Army. Finally, a happy ending follows their encounter with the Wizard of Oz and the Good Witch of the North, Glinda.

The children worked incredibly hard all term to put on this dazzling musical. Due to popular demand, an extra performance was necessary, and the children performed four shows to parents, pupils, friends, a local school and community members. The children should be very proud of their efforts, their enthusiasm and impeccable behaviour throughout. Well done to everyone involved.
