Some long-awaited glorious spring weather, clear skies, and excellent running conditions accompanied two of our recent cross-country events.
Firstly, we participated in the Malvern National Cross Country Championships. Competing against strong opposition from 40 different schools from across the country, our U11 & 13 runners rose brilliantly to the challenge. Every athlete showcased an excellent effort, resilience, and fantastic team spirit on a demanding course.
A particularly impressive team performance came from the U13 girls, who finished 5th overall. A tremendous achievement that reflects the consistency and hard work of the entire squad.
There was also outstanding individual success for Jack W, who secured 8th place finish in his race, demonstrating excellent pacing and determination to claim a top ten position.
Continuing our cross-country streak, The U8/U9 and U10/U11 combined teams travelled to The Oratory School where all teams achieved an impressive 2nd place overall, with the U10/11 boys' team being crowned overall winners in their category.
A huge congratulations to Inigo and Jack, who both finished 1st in their respective races, running exceptionally well and showing great determination throughout. Isla and Margaux also had an outstanding run, securing a brilliant 3rd place in their races.
All runners who represented the school should be extremely proud of their performances.
