What fantastic academic results our Year 8 pupils have achieved! Pupils, parents and staff came together on Friday to celebrate the impressive achievements, with many pupils exceeding expectations and securing outstanding grades before moving on to some of the UK’s leading senior schools.

“Our pupils have such long, full days filled with so many opportunities", says Fr Simon, Headmaster. "Yet in the midst of all this, these excellent Common Entrance results show how hard they have worked in the classroom. You might think with the senior school entry now in Year 6 these exams would be treated with less seriousness, yet seeing their evident pride when opening their envelopes showed how much they invested in the process. Well done to them all.”

Mrs Watts, Deputy Head (Academic) was also delighted with the exceptional results, “especially when one considers how busy these pupils are in all aspects of school life. One pupil gained eight A grades to Eton, another A*s in all subjects to Marlborough, and others performed far beyond what they had thought possible.”

The 62-strong cohort, some of whom have been at Farleigh for 10 years, move onto the following leading senior schools: Nine pupils are going to Marlborough, seven girls to St Mary's Calne, five boys to Radley and five to Winchester, four pupils to Dauntsey's and three to Ampleforth and to Bryanston, three boys to Eton and three to Sherborne Boys and three girls to Sherborne Girls, two pupils to Canford, two girls to St Mary's Ascot and two to St Swithun's. The rest of the year group are heading to Bradfield, Cheltenham, Churcher's, Downside, Epsom, Godolphin, Hereford Cathedral School, Kingsley, Oundle, Stowe and Wellington.
