A Fun-Packed Boarding Weekend

A fun-packed weekend in school was launched off by the junior boarders tucking into a personally chosen supper of steak, chops, curly fries, mushrooms and tomatoes. This mixed grill was followed by ice cream sundaes assembled by the children and, unsurprisingly, 18 clean bowls appeared within minutes of the creations being completed! Elsewhere, a record number of 45 senior boarders were busy preparing, cooking and enjoying their own raclette in Red Rice.

After a morning of prep, music practice and free time all of the boarders in turn made their way enthusiastically to the Sports Hall where they bounced, somersaulted and chased each other across an obstacle course, through a gladiator tournament and over a free-standing castle! Their excitement and competitive spirit were matched by the GAs and Grads who joined us, and who graciously accepted defeat at the hands of the boarders on several occasions!

A movie with popcorn, or some free time, provided a welcome opportunity to relax and recover, before they all headed off for a delicious roast dinner and the inevitable preparation for another action-packed week in school.
