Farleigh Pre-Prep, which includes the Kindergarten, Reception and Years 1 and 2, is headed by Mrs Sue Wilton, who joined the Pre-Prep as Head in September 2019, having taught in the Prep since 2014 as a Key Stage 2 Teacher, Exam Officer and Assessment Co-ordinator.
The Pre-Prep is housed in a purpose built, modern, light and spacious building with two classes per year group, its own activity hall and library. The Kindergarten has its own secure playground with treehouse, and the Pre-Prep's playground includes a large outdoor stage with seating, a multi-use games area, sensory planting, an enclosed sand pit and ‘water wall’.
Farleigh Pre-Prep pupils benefit from the school’s excellent facilities, including the sports AstroTurf, a cookery room, the Pre-Prep's own woods for forest school, regular swimming lessons and yoga as part of their school day. All aspects of academic, sporting and extra-curricular life come together in the development of each child, giving them confidence, friendships and a zest for life.
We arrived at 4pm, with excited children pouring into after-school activities like yoga and sewing. Pre-prep opens its doors for breakfast club at 7.30am and an after-school club runs till 5.45pm."
