THANK YOU to all the brave Farleigh piano pupils, their parents, former pupils, grandparents, teachers and supporters, as well as the fabulous Farleigh music staff who plugged the gaps and helped some of the more apprehensive young pianists, for making the Pianothon 2023 the event it was last Friday.

We are so grateful to all the wonderful musicians who created a haven of tranquility in the Music School from the very start; punctuality was faultless, talent was abundant, and it was such a pleasure to welcome pianists from all generations to enjoy the beautiful Recital Hall piano and its new stool. And just as importantly, the Pianothon enabled us to raise £468.10, which will be split between our two school charities, Mary's Meals and Purple Oak Support. 

Those who stayed, or returned, were able to watch our very own Katherine Rockhill bring the event to a dramatic close, performing some of the repertoire from a recent tour on the QM2, followed by a fitting grand finale of a rendition of a version of Frère Jacques by 10 hands at the keys!
