Farleigh’s eagerly anticipated annual Spring Fling Charity Disco is always a huge hit with the children. It is a great opportunity for them to celebrate the end of the spring term with a big party together and explore their creativity through some very fun, themed costumes, whilst raising money for our principal school charities, Mary’s Meals and Purple Oak Support. This year's 1980s' theme may have been the most popular yet – or so we hear from the children!
First up, Pre-Prep pupils dressed in their best party clothes to dance and 'conga' the afternoon away to some of their favourite tunes, with which some of our Prep pupils couldn’t help but join in!
Next up, the Prep. The children love dressing up, and it is always wonderful to see the effort they - and the staff! - put into their costumes, with an array of neon leg warmers and headbands, glitter and sequins, fishnet gloves, shell suits, crimped hair, as well as some seriously impressive takes on iconic 80s music icons and movie characters – think The Blues Brothers, Top Gun’s Maverick, Grease’s Pink Ladies and Jaws. In a relaxed atmosphere, the children enjoyed having their photos taken with friends in the shutter booth and dancing to their favourite tunes in the disco provided by DJ Mr Reeves and Bruno de S!
Thank you to everyone who helped make these parties such a success, for both the children and the charities! We can’t wait for the next one!
