Sporting Days are back

How we love to see the sports pitches busy with children playing football, hockey and netball again. During training on Mondays and Thursdays the children are working hard on improving their skills in a variety of specific drills and practices. On Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, the boys are enjoying their 'Champions League' tournaments. As ever, they are full of enthusiasm for their footballl and get competitive playing each other, resulting in some close matches.

The senior girls are playing hockey and playing in year group tournaments on match afternoons. Their work ethic is strong and we are looking forward to seeing how they progress this season. The junior girls are loving their netball despite lots of hand sanitising in order to keep Covid secure. The Years 4 and 5 girls are learning the skills of 'Bee Netball', a new initiative by England Netball. A positive start to the autumn term.

Graeme Ellison, Director of Sport, is delighted to witness the children’s efforts across the school: “Shaking off some lockdown and summer excess, we are now well and truly up and running. I love the way the Farleigh kids just soak it all up!"

Thank you, Mr Tween, for the great pictures!
